6635 Flanary - Full Kitchen Transformation

This project involved a complete transformation of a dated, enclosed kitchen into a fully open, functional living space designed for modern everyday use.

The existing layout was compartmentalised and poorly connected to the surrounding living areas. Soffits were removed to increase vertical space, the layout was reconfigured for open-concept flow, and custom cabinetry was installed to full ceiling height throughout. A large central island was added as the primary prep and gathering space, complemented by a secondary prep zone and integrated appliance wall.

The project required significant technical coordination behind the scenes — electrical system reconfiguration to support the new layout and lighting plan, plumbing relocation for the island and fixture updates, structural and framing adjustments following layout changes, and subfloor levelling corrections where required.

A full lighting redesign was implemented including recessed, task, and decorative fixtures, with skylight enhancement to maximise natural light. Flooring was replaced across all connected living areas to create a seamless visual flow throughout the space.

The completed kitchen delivers dramatically improved storage, workflow efficiency, and a modern high-end aesthetic — along with a dedicated pantry and laundry area with custom millwork. A strong example of how disciplined project management and thoughtful design coordination can transform an outdated kitchen into a future-ready living space.
